Scan FAQ
- A SafeTag is a visible anti-theft sticker you place on your bike. It deters thieves and shows the bike is registered, which lowers theft risk. The sticker is linked to the rightful ownerβs bike registration. By scanning it, you can see whether the bike is reported stolen, which increases the chance of recovery.
- The frame number is usually stamped on the frame near the bottom bracket, head tube, rear dropouts, or under the crank area.
- This scan checks whether a SafeTag ID, frame number, or battery number is known in BIKEBAZE and whether it is reported as stolen.
- First check if you entered the ID correctly (the 6 characters in the center of the SafeTag). If it is still not found, the SafeTag is not activated yet. Press the button to activate the SafeTag if you own this SafeTag, then try again.
- First check whether the frame number is entered correctly and contains no typing mistakes. If the number is correct and the bike is still not found, the bike is probably not registered yet. In that case, register the bike yourself if it is yours.
- Contact the owner using the shown details, share your location to help, and always put your own safety first while following local laws.
